About Me
Leading with Self-LOVE: Leadership, Observation, Value, and Empowerment
My work is grounded in love. I believe expressing and encountering love facilitates a more expansive sense of self and identity. Through this, we establish awareness of how we can support growth in others and become more compassionate leaders. Love opens the space for creativity, growth, healing, and liberation.
I stand for and encourage the types of leaders who lead through equality, diversity, access, and inclusion while successfully navigating the complexities across differences. I believe these are the types of leaders the world needs – those who are compassionate with the experiences of self; those who are comfortable with and encourage the expression of love. Through adult development, gestalt facilitation, and mindfulness, my work focuses on supporting the development of these types of extraordinary leaders.
Core Values
I’m driven by beliefs and principles that guide my coaching and facilitating services, all from a place of love and respect for others. Because my work comes from a place of love, I act as a model for everything I stand for.

Connection:
I connect with others immediately and deeply. I listen closely and show them they’re important to me.

Belongingness:
Only when individuals feel that they matter will they succeed. I coach leaders to ensure their people feel seen, understood, and valued, so they develop a strong sense of belonging.

Purposefulness:
People need meaningful work to fulfill their life’s purpose. Our purpose becomes clear when we can align with and accept our true selves.

With these values behind me, I help leaders better understand themselves and their people.
Dr. Akasha Founder
dr. akasha was essentially raised by his grandmother, and she told him that if you need something, you must believe you can get it, and you will. She taught him that life is abundant. It isn’t scarce. We can access love inside ourselves. If you can see that, anything is possible. His grandmother was his first introduction to what love really means. It’s dynamic and free. We can bring it out in each other if we pay attention to it.

Those principles guide what dr. akasha does today. He helps individuals and organizations realize their best selves and become better leaders. He guides them to find and nurture Self-LOVE and to accept and love others.

dr. akasha attended Fielding Graduate University, where he received his PhD in human development, social justice orientation, and development.
History:
During his undergraduate degree in Jamaica, Dr. Akasha studied management with a focus on marketing. This is when he was first able to articulate that people should be embraced for their differences. This wonderful conclusion was brought about by a very unfortunate set of circumstances: Four of his college mates were almost beaten to death because they were suspected of being gay. Dr. Akasha discovered the depth of violence humans are capable of toward each other when we don’t understand and embrace our differences. That violence stems from many places, such as religious beliefs or even something as simple as where we go to school. After this discovery, Dr. Akasha was inspired to facilitate experiences where people can engage with love and respect across their differences.

Dr. Akasha now holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. in Human Development from Fielding Graduate University and is credentialed through the International Coaching Federation as a professional certified coach (PCC). His active research interests are coaching across differences, pilgrimage as developmental journeys, and meaning-making and complexity development in university students throughout the Caribbean.
